Photos by Scott Mains, from my makeup workshop for a Brighton hen party where I taught a group of ladies how to do their own liquid eye-liner ‘flicks’ and how to properly apply a long-lasting perfect red lipstick. My favourite products for the session included: Ruby Woo matte lipstick with Kiss Me Quick Prolongwear lip pencil underneath and  Blacktrack Fluidline gel eyeliner with brush number 266 – all by my former employer and trainer, M.A.C. Cosmetics.

As far as nylon tipped products: for a cheap option I like Soap and Glory’s liquid black eyeliner pen as it is fast, easy and dark satiny black. For something longer-wearing, I like the Smashbox limitless waterproof liquid liner pen. For the thinnest tip – I love the Diorshow Art pen liner but it isn’t waterproof enough for my high standards. The search continues for my favourite black waterproof liquid eye liner!
